Paul Manafort worked for Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole and many other highly prominent and respected political leaders. He worked for me for a very short time. Why didn’t government tell me that he was under investigation. These old charges have nothing to do with Collusion - a Hoax!

Mueller thinks he is protecting the integrity and reputation of the FBI and DOJ. That's really his objective.
But in the process of protecting the FBI and DOJ, institutions he loves, he has to avoid pursuing criminal activities of Hillary and the Obama administration.
That does MASSIVE damage to our justice system. It shows that there is a two tiered justice system. One for the politicians connected to the DOJ and FBI and another for everyone else. That destroys DOJ and FBI reputations.
The DOJ and FBI need to take a bath on this. They need to admit wrong and come clean with the American public. They may even have to restart as new agencies. That is the only way these institution will ever regain public trust.
We can't have a healthy country with a two tiered justice system. One for the connected and another for the not connected. Can't have it.

This case is simply a way to create “guilt by association” from the Mueller team. The judge has said as much and informed the prosecution they are not allowed to mention Trump or the election during the trial. Because none of that is relevant to the Manafort case.
