i think this is just his way of signalling to wall street to clean up its act because they are next on the list of things being looked at for corruption and gaming the system.

trump know full well there is a huge amount of shenanigans going on behind the scenes that really hurts the little guy investors just trying to play the markets but its being rigged for the fat cats to control.

i think its trumps way of saying knock it off and stop manipulating the markets or there will be investigations started and regulations put in place to prevent it.

That's a stupid strategy. The only people saying Democrats are against the stock market going up are right wing propagandists, who also say Democrats are against [fill in with everything good].

Gee Trumpies, is it a free market or not?

Republicans want to control every aspect of everything so that their dear leader is not offended. You want to decree that the stock market shall not go down. Authoritarian Soviet control, that's what Republicans want.

I'm sure it's just coincidence that the vast majority of this board is filled with Trump supporters.

I could never understand his angle on this. There are other economic indicators which tell the state of the economy.

Once again, President Trump is talking out of his arse and/or playing dumb to appeal to his base. Apprehension in the face of rising wages that could lead to inflation that could, in turn, lead to a raise in interest rates is nothing new.

Nothing but a right wing, trump loving, circle jerk going on in this political forum. I sure am glad the American electorate does not share the stupidity that is prevalent here.

And yet here you are contributing nothing to counter it

And please educate me on the "electorate"

Go to DU where you can jerk off with the rest of the left wing, Trump haters who are as stupid as you are.

Donald J. Trump ?Verified account @realDonaldTrump 27m27 minutes ago In the “old days,” when good news was reported, the Stock Market would go up. Today, when good news is reported, the Stock Market goes down. Big mistake, and we have so much good (great) news about the economy!

What a ridiculous statement considering the amount of "good news" he has taken credit for over the past year that led to the stock market gains.

At least the Republican Party did not collude with the Russians like the Democratic Party did.

As I write, the Dow is down a modest 20 points. With a potential budget deal in place, I expect the market to be nicely up or at the very least, stable. If the deal falls through I expect another drop.
