When did I state a desire to have governmental control of the press. While I believe that they are the jaundiced, modernized version of the "yellow press" of old, I still feel they can serve a legitimate purpose. That being said, their purpose currently seems to be to foment division through the creation of a misguided (false?) narrative. Only a simpleton would argue against this observation. I am sure someone can post the "4 am" talking points which seem to parrot one another almost verbatim.
I get it...you dislike the persona of President Trump, but mischaracterizing the role of CNN and then playing spin doctor in order to deflect from being (correctly) called out should be beneath you.

To actually air that bullshite was something decided on in advance. Seemingly it was done to create a negative image of the president. To me, it is a defining example of their TDS.
