How soon we forget. Oreo was one of the first major corporations to push the gay stuff back when we were still discussing gay marriage.

Me, too! Grabbed a cup of coffee, opened the Poli board, and thought, "oh shite, what has Oweo done this time?"

I would like to think Gillette's bull shite hurt them but there are differing thoughts on that. To your point though. Poorly researched advertising can hurt for sure. Gillette probably went waaaay overboard with that shite but they seem to be the exception and not the rule in terms of negative market retaliation. Market trends in general are strongly leaning woke and progressive.

Or these corporations realize the ones that control govt central bank money are their real customer. Losing 20% of their customers is a cheap price to pay to buy favor with the govt who prints more money than all the people have.

I suspect that the top of the corporate ladder has invited a few too many homosexual executives for diversity reasons so they thought it was a good idea to put a gay turd into their customers punch bowl. Leftist marketing works that way. Ideology before good sense.

Holy shite. When are you people gonna frickin' get it?

There's no ideology here. Do you really think these corporations have ideals or principles? Do you really think they stand for something, whether that be trannies or wholesome American values?

They care about the market, pure and simple. They care about nothing else. Nabisco, just like Disney knows what it's doing and what they know is that the conservative masses will not stop buying their products. They know this and we know they know this because they study it.

This queer cookie commercial? That shite was focued grouped to death and hashed over in a frickin' board room for hours before it found it's way to the market.

Would you even know it existed if not for this board? I wouldn't.

Consider this possibility. The concept of there being no such thing as bad press fits this situation like a glove.

I’m gay and I’m over all this shite.

I had no idea that in addition to Pride month there are also something like 20 other days designated as some sort of LGTBQAIHSB7:3@2/ += observance.

Other gays and gay virtue signaling companies: frick OFF WITH THIS shite. Your hand is officially overplayed. Sit down, STFU, and enjoy your PRIVILEGE.

You might be correct. My reasoning for thinking otherwise is how quickly you saw companies go completely insane in this type of virtue signaling after Floyd

That was strange for sure. The globo-corporations were in lock step almost overnight.

That's not true. They won't lose 50% of the market and in fact, they'll likely gain some market share.

here is an example of the typical douche, liberal idiot on TD.

but that's ok. you are welcome here and enjoy the balance of opinion.

I think the end result is the same...that they can do this because The Right refuses to hold them accountable, but under no circumstance do I think they are doing this BECAUSE they think it'll make them more money. I think they have become beholden to woke ideologues within their companies who listen to Twitter AS IF that's a focus group and act accordingly.

They are doing this to appease the mob and they can do that because they know it won't cost them money. It's a subtle difference but an important one.

Well if you think globo-corporate America makes sweeping marketing changes based on twitter, well ok then.

I however think multibillion dollar, American corporations are probably a little more measured and thoughtful than that. I think they're probably just a wee bit more studied in their data collection.

But you could be right I suppose. It's possible Nabisco scrolls through the vast, moronic twitterverse and makes billion dollar decisions based on what they read.

Given the speed with which they've done this in the past (see George Floyd) yeah, I absolutely think they do.

But again...it's a subtle difference here. I'm not saying they have not run the numbers and assessed that they can do this and not get hurt. They absolutely have. What I'm arguing against is that they have not run the numbers and found that any of this is boosting their numbers. Almost none of the things they champions are wildly popular. They are mostly fringe topics that only excite a small group and agitate a small group.

In this case, the cost-benefit analysis is more along the lines of "can we do this and appease the mobs and still get anyone who claims to be offended by this move to buy our products?" SO FAR, they have been able to do this with little to no harm.

But under no circumstances do I think these moves have resulted in positive gains for any of these companies. The only gains have been in woke points and a lack of rage directed towards their company. And until The Right does more than complains and continues to support this, then they will continue to do this because it's better go "go woke" and appease the mob knowing The Right will not walk away than it is to keep The Right happy and piss off The Left who will go apeshit and actually act on their threats.
