Did you listen. They talked here about Russian and Pakistan and other foreign countries. Not saying there isn’t issues domestically.
The entire Medicare system with a lack of oversight is an issue.
We probably spent enough on fraud to cover the co-payments for most prescriptions.
Yes, I’m a healthcare professional but no longer in practice. I’m not defending any healthcare fraud. I’m advocating for better oversight. Remember the hospice fraud, autism fraud, even child care fraud are all enabled due to lack of oversight or simply schemes designed to pay off the people that should have oversight to look the other way.

They never got caught. But they were poor managers of money and filed personal BK more than once. Working the financial system the same way they worked the healthcare system. Run up a bunch of debt in addition to your very upper middle class income, bankrupt out of it, rinse and repeat.

some of our "doctors" around here
Adamant about denying it before, because there was no proof and they were getting their slices of the pie.
Silent about it now, because there's proof that they were getting their slices of the pie.

There is nothing "BREAKING!" about this. Nothing. It is months old now and different tweets just like this get brought here every few weeks claiming it is "BREAKING!".
That said, everyone should take the time to go read the FBI public report on this. It has been posted on their site since the original announcement. That report should open some eyes.
ETA: The original announcement/press briefing was on June 30, 2025.

When I was working co-worker nurses would ask for an itemized bill after they were in hospital.
Everyone of them found fraudulent charges,EVERYONE of them.It couldn’t be by accident.
One nurse spent 1 night in hospital, was charged for 10 sleeping pills, some other things she couldn’t possibly have used. Some of them alleged that fraudulent charges totaled as much as 10% of their total bill.
A layperson wouldn’t know, really didn’t care as long as insurance was paying for it..
Hospital tried to pass it off as a mistake. I say bullshite,it was by design.

The system rewards it. Almost encourages it by making it harder and harder to make a living and pay staff legally. But at their age, that was probably back when you could make bank legally. Just easier and far more profitable to get paid for shite you don't do. Then more bullshite for the rest of us.

Would a doctor not have to own their own clinic to overbill and bill fraudulently? Most Docs likely have their billing audited at least to some degree by their practice administrators?
They used to physically come and do site and chart audits. Now we send it in. I could make up a clinic and have all the proper numbers while generating the documentation they needed. Checks would just roll in. Even private insurers do this now.

Isnt there a State component to this kind of fraud? Ie...it goes thru the State to then go to the Federal level. Instead of directly to the feds.
If so, how do these issues get corrected at the State level? If wanted of course
