Let me help you little boy.
They need our goods THAT THEY RAISE TARRIFS ON, way more than we need the Canadian goods
But you contradict yourself because of you're low iq. Trade is private groups, but the TARRIFS placed on that trade is GOVERNMENT tax
So today's news, if it removes tarrifs, take the government out of the deal. But you're dumb arse is now arguing against doing that?
Which is it? Would you be happy with US getting lower or possibly 0 tarrifs? If so, you approve of what Trump accomplished.
Pick a different hill to die on kid.

Correct, Commie.
You think govt should control the economy and make deals for enterpreneurs.
Lenin would love you

President Donald Trump‘s executive crusade to punish three countries he deems responsible for the deadly fentanyl epidemic has raised questions on whether tariffs, especially on Canada, will solve the U.S. drug problem.
In the Feb. 1 executive order, Trump identified Canada, China, and Mexico as playing significant roles in the U.S. fentanyl epidemic that has killed a record-high number of people annually. In turn, Trump imposed double-digit tariffs against each nation until the amount of fentanyl being seized at the nation’s border drops to next to nothing.
This is the dumbest reason for tariffs ever.

I thought y'all wanted to re-shore manufacturing and create those sweet, sweet, garment factory jobs? Suddenly, yalll don't care about trade deficits.
That's what's so dumb about the window lickers.
Since this became a thing, they've hauled the goal posts all around the field and out into the parking lot.
I've been told that the main issue in this trade war is:
1. A trade deficit that is unsustainable and devaluing the dollar
2. National security
3. Forcing jobs back to America
4. Because it's not fair
5. Allowing American corporations to expand international markets
The one thing I have NEVER been told it is about is free trade. In fact, I have been told—and I quote—"Free trade is for pussies."
In fact, forcing free trade is the only valid goal. There are other, better ways of ensuring national security.
But everyone dropping tariffs means that those jobs aren't coming back to America. They're going to stay right where they are. And if American producers gain market share and need more of them to supply the increased demand, they're going to be hiring right where those factories are already.
So if you've been on here bleeding from your butthole for six weeks screaming about the jobs we need back here in America—if that was your main argument—how do you frame other countries dropping their tariffs as a win?
For you to win the other countries would keep their tariffs, we would keep ours, and manufacturing would come back to America to avoid the tariffs.
If you are a "WE NEED MORE AMERICAN JOBS REEEEEEEEEE!!!!" person, you're losing right now. Same if you've been arguing for national security.
Of course, you're not losing much just yet. Canada, Vietnam, and the 1% of the products that we exported to Israel. If the UK caves, that will be the first substantial victory (unless, you've been arguing for jobs and national security, in which case it will be the first substantial loss for you).
When China, India, Japan, the EU and N Korea cave, then I'd say champaign is in order, or sackcloth and ashes, depending upon whether you've been hoping for free trade or more American jobs and national security.
As far as the trade deficit that is supposedly devaluing the dollar, I guess we'll have to wait and see how much dropping the tariffs affects that. If you're one of those people I guess it will be a while before we'll know whether you won or lost.

Yeah you could hold in one hand the amount of fentanyl that has come across the Canadian border. Which is an unsecured border anyway so how in the hell would the Canadian government be able to do much about it?
Trump loves making up fictitious reasons for his policy actions and the cult immediately believes it no matter how stupid.

LOL you think that is really the reason? In order to do EO tariffs you have to have some reason other than I want to fix our trade deficit.
