Only those with investments - IRAs, mutual funds, 529's, stocks, etc. Seems most references cite 45-50% of Americans have investments.

I'm interested to read about any tangible evidence that the stock market upward trend has led to higher wages, better job/career opportunities, promotions, etc.

So 45-50% of Americans increasing their wealth/livelihoods isn’t enough?

Who said it was not a good thing for those individuals? Just the facts, those with investments are obviously benefiting. Those w/o....guess they don't or you can explain how they do?

People having more money spend more, boosting the economy, and creating more jobs..

People having more money opens up opportunities to create new businesses, hence more jobs...

Businesses issuing stock can use the funds received from a boosted market to pay employees or reinvest in the company...

Also, you can’t blame the wealthy just because people don’t have 401Ks. Many people choose not to participate in them.

Those of us with investments are not burning the money in a fireplace, if retired and living off of investments the money is used to pay for goods and services, and when the markets are doing well more money is spent. In my case because of more money being available it seems like a good time to make some home repairs and improvements. Some carpenters, painters, plumbers, and building material suppliers will be getting business that would not have occurred had the markets remained flat or declined.

False. But it does benefit the 'rich' far more than the poor or middle class.. for obvious reasons.

Healthy economy is good for everyone

But this is a truism that adds nothing to the discussion, IMHO.

False. Roughly 50% of Americans have money in the market. Even those don’t still benefit in an indirect way.

Who is blaming the wealthy? Not blaming anyone. Simple facts IRT who is in the stock market and who is not.

Let me know what these high-paying, new jobs are that have been created this year in this market.... And about all these raises given to the employees...
IF they were so abundant, team DT would be boasting about them.

Several very large companies have announced bonuses and raises after the tax cut passed. Did you not know that?

Multiple companies gave out bonuses and raises last week...

“High-paying, new jobs”-please define what you mean by that. You ignored the rest of my post, which described how many jobs are created by the market’s gains. Surely you can agree that having a job is better than no job at all?

Might be time for people to stop milking welfare, get a job, have a family, raise Thier kids and invest money for profit.

Considering that most unions and many living in mostly liberal areas have Pensions, this run up has immensely helped Pensions across the board cover shortfalls caused by years of under funding and unrealistic return expectations.

Pensioneers should be celebrating this.
