That isn't really breaking news but I thought I would share my personal experience. Omicron ran through my immediate and extended family after we gathered several days during New Years. Everyone had had Covid before, all ages, mixture of vaccinated and unvaccinated and even a couple of people that had Delta just a few months ago. Everyone had some type of symptom(s). I have never seen a sickness burn through a group of people like that. It was also incredibly mild compared to the original. I ran fever one day, took Nyquil at bedtime and felt normal the next day. I can't imagine this thing dragging out much longer. It is going to burn out quickly.

I'm still going to need you to be vaccinated and present identification before you consume this snack, sir.

Symptoms were almost identical but it burned through us a lot faster than a typical cold.

Yeah, I haven't got the jab. My wife has.

Hit us both about the same time the initial strain hit us at this same time last year.

My symptoms were a bit milder. Still dealt with chills, fever, congestion, fatigue but only lasted half as long as before. Wife's symptoms were about the same as her first bout pre-jab. Basically, it's similar to a bad sinus infection.

It hit me hard yesterday… achy, tired… took NyQuil and wasn’t able to sleep because it felt like I got hit my a truck.

Woke up at 2AM with a 102 fever… took ibprofen and NyQuil again… woke up 2 hours ago and aches and fever are gone. Just tired now… a quick hitting brutal 24 hours but that’s it

And then it'll be back again next year, around the same time.

Agreed.

My entire warehouse got smacked by it. My brother's entire staff (like 50 people) got hit. My wife's whole family. All at the same time. I have never in my life seen something that goes so fast.

Our Christmas gathering was 10 people.2 vaccinated and boosted ,1 got it.
2 vaccinated,not boosted neither got it.6 Unvaccinated - 3 got it .
I’m 71,not vaxxed don’t get it.
The ones that got it was mild, fever ,chills, headache, congestion and coughing 1’st day,no fever 2’nd day,3’rd day pretty much over it.I’ve seen people with colds that were sicker. Not near as bad as flu.

Fauci said today that omicron isn’t actually part of cov2, and has been around. Don’t know if anyone else caught that.

Going on 2 days now of fever no more than 100.2, but the muscle aches in my back are excruciating. Been taking Advil every 10-12 hours, but it’s been rough. Other than that I’m good, just feel like I’ve been beaten on with how sore I feel.
