Strange, man.
So Oklahomans prefer their residents relying on government assistance than earning a competitive wage to be able to provide for their families.
Oklahoma... is one place I choose never to even visit
Firstly, great don’t come here we don’t want commies. Thank you for not coming and infecting minds.
Secondly, min wage jobs are not supposed to be your final job its “entry level”. Get experience and move out or up. By time you have family you should have already moved on.
And as proven in Cali, increased min wage only decreases jobs and moves them to AI.
Stay away from OK, you are not welcome
and also stay away from NC. No commies!

And you wonder why the white race is loosing its reign in the US. The whites aren’t breeding anymore.

30 an hour is nothing now. You thinking 15 is some excessive mountain tells me everything I need to know about you
And you championing small businesses being forced to pay any wage regardless of how high or low tells me everything I need to know about you.
Answer the question, why not $30/hr? What happens when you start increasing payroll on businesses?
If we’re going to let the government set the market and not the market set the market, why not just let it fricking rain??!
It’s not your money, let’s just let it rain!
Such a good little marxist.

What does it tell you about him?

Texas will strip mine the minimum wage workers? Maybe one of your dumbest takes.

Did I stumble into a thread about bringing back manufacturing jobs from overseas?
So no minimum wage at all then?

I don't believe in minimum wage laws, no. I'm a market/capitalist guy.

All the unwanted minorities will move to Texas?
Sounds like a win to me.

The real minimum wage is zero.
Minimum wage laws were originally supported by many labor unions as a way to reduce competition from immigrant and minority workers. Today, they are a key policy of democrats.
Movie theater ushers, bag boys, gas station attendants, parking attendants, and countless other starter jobs have largely disappeared.
These weren’t just jobs—they were stepping stones.
Thomas Sowell has some excellent work on the unintended consequences of minimum wage laws. A lot of it is on YouTube.

Not only did this bill raise the minimum wage, it tied future minimum wage increases to price indexes and made future legislative changes of the minimum wage unnecessary. Minimum wage would rise without any action.

In July 2025, 53.1 percent of young people (those ages 16 to 24) were employed, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today. This measure is down from 54.5 percent in July 2024. (The month of July typically is the summertime peak in youth employment.) The youth unemployment rate was 10.8 percent in July 2025, higher than the rate in July 2024 (9.8 percent). (Because this analysis focuses on the seasonal changes in youth employment and unemployment that occur each spring and summer, the data are not seasonally adjusted.)

Would be interesting to see what those figures are like versus minimum wage rates.

The rest of the bill gave automatic, in perpituity raises from 2030 until forever.
Also had language that the legislature could not ever change the law concerning this addition.
Also stripped the exemptions that small busnisses, feed stores, and farms had regarding their teen kids working for them.
It wasn't just the $$ amount.
Of course you know that, and so did those promoting this law. They'll now campaign on this to no end while not talking about the substance of the proposal.

Whats great is it cannot be voted on again for at least 2 years.

Good, so why you rolling up in here acting like that?
Oh, that's right. All you do is play the contrarian.
