We are now pumping 11.9 million barrels a day. If you watch the weekly report from EIA, until about six months ago, each month we were gaining about 100,000 barrels per day production. Then it started to remain stagnant for a month, then pop 100,000 barrels in a week. For the past three months its been pretty stagnant, and then last week 200,000 barrels per day increase in a week.
The issue is not the holes, we have thousands of wells already dug....its pipeline capacity. Thats why, the week a new pipeline opens, oil production soars, and then stagnates, waiting on the next pipeline.
The good news is, we have over 2.5 million BPD of pipeline capacity coming on line in the next 18 months, an it will immediately be filled.
Im just in awe of what this industry has done. When govt gets out of the way and tech merges with good ole fashioned roughnecks, in America, some truly amazing results follow.
For all our problems, this is still the greatest country God put on this earth, and the signs are all around us if we just look.

Just think, it can all be stopped by electing an idiot like Biden president

Or someone like Paul Ryan, Kasich, etc
The next Republican candidate will be the one with the best/most financial backing... we just got lucky that the one time an outsider got the nomination, he had enough of his own money to run a campaign

The EPA equivalents to Strokz, McCabe etc. will be unfettered again.

Then why was oil production so high during the Obama years?
Posted on 1/20/19 at 9:07 am to Powerman
Large advancements in shale production technology made by private companies.

FERC is the regulating body for the energy industry, here is what the libs thought of Trump appointees when he started replacing the board.....From the Washington Examiner a headline at the time:

Green groups prep to sue Trump's energy panel appointee
Id say if your enemies feel that adamant, it must be a pro energy appointee.
I will say this, if you look at that the new makeup of that commission, and you live in Texas, I would not take a vacation. You will come home to find a well in your backyard and a pipeline in the front.

This production has nothing to do with any sort of regulatory let up, the largest jump in production happed under Obama. The pipeline constraints were in the Permian, and had nothing to do with Keystone.

Its on steroids now, and it will still be another three or four years til we get the infrastructure built, that should have already been in place, four years ago.
Come on Parmen, whats next, the economy we have now is because of obama????

The EPA under obama was a nightmare. A fully weaponized nightmare.
