The store is getting sued when this is over.
Why is the store getting sued?
Please explain why a store cannot call the cops on A frickING SHOPLIFTER

The employee probably lied about the shoplifting.

This is getting fricking ridiculous.
Who does these jackasses think they are? That little tin badge has put some of these got their lunch money taken at school asswipes on a power trip.

So, was she arrested for shoplifting, or buying non-essential items?
Essential to who? Her or a couple of tin horn deputies.

Erie County sheriff's deputies were first called to a store on Ohio 101 after an employee allegedly found the woman with merchandise — a potted cactus and a greeting card — in the woman's purse, according to a sheriff's report. The woman told the employee she didn't know the items were in her purse, left the items behind and departed the store.
Sounds like the employee confronted her then called the cops

My girlfriend put steaks in my shopping basket.
I put them back.
After I checked out, a snot nose employee confronted me at my car saying I stole the steaks.
I went inside the store with my groceries and receipt and denied the claim.
He said it was in my pants.
The store wanted me to disrobe in their office.
Returned items are kept in the office, so they could have planted anything on me.
I decided to remove my shirt and drop my pants in front of others checking out.
I got banned from the store.
Most of the customers checking out just walked out leaving their baskets in the checkout line.

HTH do you argue you didn't know there was a cactus in your purse?

Deputies charged the woman and gave her a court summons. The store also banned the woman, and law enforcement notified her.
Insane, where did the adults go?
Did the store also fire the employee that sold her non-essential items?
