There are several conflicting reports showing up online right now.
There are some saying that Pakistan is about to deliver final terms of a agreement to Iran which will see negotiations take place soon. Others show that we are flooding in more assets suddenly into the region for resumption of hostilities. Also shipping in the SOH has lit up over the last couple hours with ships paying Iran's toll and moving out as if they are trying to get the heck out of dodge.

This doesn’t really make sense. The organizational structure was originally similar to Nazi Germany where you had the IRGC=SS and the Basij=SA, with the same outcome.
There was a power struggle and the IRGC won, and absorbed the Basij.
To this day they’re just a second class unit used for undesirable duties.
If there’s currently a power struggle with the armed forces, there won’t be a single IRGC casualty unless they run out of Basij.
The IRGC also has political officers embedded into the military, so military officers are watched closely to ensure they don’t have any opportunity to get too uppity.

Keep in mind that the earlier strikes targeted primarily IRGC leaders and troops while leaving regular Army relatively intact. Regardless of their operational capacity compared with the IRGC at least they’re better armed than the unarmed civilians. Any split here only helps destabilize the regime.

The overriding issue is there can’t be destabilization until there are negative consequences for the decision makers.

Yup, if they really don't like this proposition of resolution, they should just start bombing until they get Iran to surrender, or get themselves into a jam. If they get into a bad spot, US will join. It's what they want, why not?

I have missed on this matter more often than not and unless there is some Boogie Man that we are not privy, this action has been a miserable failure and we will loathe these days of missed opportunities

Seems to me that Iran doesn't have anything like any one faction in control so it is likely that some want to make a deal badly, but lots of Islamic Republic jihadist holdouts waiting for their 72 virgins.

Sounds like he’s requesting that the Iranians commit to the cease fire this time, so everyone can just focus on the details of Irans unconditional surrender.

That's the only thing I can think of. Either Iran is a lot more powerful and we did less damage than we were all told (unlikely), or Trump's visit to China didn't go as good as he said and Xi told him if he attacks Iran again then China will get involved (more likely).

Every day Trump waffles on action is another day that the IRGC digs more weapons back out of the sand, moves more nuclear material around in hidden tunnels and more Iranian citizens are executed.
Trump needs to get out of his own head and realize you can't make a deal with religious zealots. This is not a company takeover or a land deal. These are ruthless and evil people who believe it is their destiny to bring about the end of humanity. They will never give up on that idea and further talks are a waste of time.
They want a nuclear weapon so they can destroy Israel, which in their belief system, will bring about the return of the hidden Imam who will usher in the apocalypse. This is their essence of being and the only way to deter them attempting to make that happen, is to wipe out the regime.
They will never give up their caliphate in Iran. They will never give up on the nuclear bomb. It's time Trump accepts that.
