The MEU is going do it. Well complete any gaps theyre exposing for now.
It will be able to get close enough to land marines on the shores to either take out targets, establish our own mobile bases, or just destroy weaponry
The 20 fighter jets will be able to easily ensure we have air power over it at all times because right now the sorties from the carriers have to fly there which takes an hour can stay for 40 minutes then flies back for fuel. This is a massive gap we arent there and its why they can still do this.

We are aiming imo in the end to take total control of the straight so this will never happen again, regardless if the the people can overthrow the regeme.
People are going to have to be very patient though.
The meu will be there in 2 weeks. It will likely take them and special forces 2-3 weeks with air support from the navy to fully render them operational incapable to threaten the straight.
Then the MEU can worry about clearing the mines which will likely take at least 7 days.
Then we will take control of the entire gulf imo.

its just going to be basically what i talked about above. The marines will be helod in and special forces will drop ship in most likely and they will have to move from these tiny islands theyre embedded on. One then another then another until theyre all dead. But now they will have 24/7 combat aircraft cover and id assume A10s as well
