I would be curious to know what sort of various factions there are: both in the current government and its supporters along with the opposition.
Seems like throwing a bunch of arms into the country runs the risk of turning Iran into another Syria.

"There’s a real upheaval in Iran... President Pezeshkian is considering resigning from his post."
Channel 14's Senior Iran Analyst @DBalazada explains what inside sources tell him is happening today inside the government:
Pezeshkian is reportedly "exceptionally angry" at the Revolutionary Guards, accusing them of "reckless" conduct. He claims the failure to protect Ali Larijani was not negligence, but a deliberate move to ensure his elimination.
The IRGC is reportedly "very pleased" with Larijani’s death, having already prepared an "elimination dossier" on him and his brother.
The bottom line - Iran is transitioning into an extremist military regime where Mojtaba Khamenei acts as a mere "puppet" of the Revolutionary Guards, who completely control the country.

BREAKING: Another impressive operation carried out by the Israeli Air Force this afternoon. The Israeli Air Force targeted elements of one of the most strategic Basij paramilitary units of the IRGC terrorist organization in Tehran, located in the Janatabad neighborhood.
Last week, their main base was targeted, so they moved to a construction site near a flower market to establish a new position for storing weapons and military equipment for future use against the people of Tehran if they took to the streets.
The Israeli Air Force monitored their movements, identified the new hideout within the construction site, and carried out a precise strike, destroying their equipment and eliminating several of these militants.
This operation likely prevented significant loss of life in the Janatabad area, as these forces were preparing to suppress civilians in that part of Tehran.

It will be able to get close enough to land marines on the shores to either take out targets, establish our own mobile bases, or just destroy weaponry
The 20 fighter jets will be able to easily ensure we have air power over it at all times because right now the sorties from the carriers have to fly there which takes an hour can stay for 40 minutes then flies back for fuel. This is a massive gap we arent there and its why they can still do this.
