China is really big in solar and other energy alternatives.including fusion research because they realize they’re always cornered by the US until petroleum is not a necessary precondition to a functioning economy.

Haven’t seen a solar powered ship or jet yet. They also build a ton of coal plants, which should tell you just how effective their alternative power is doing.

Right, they might be able to figure out solar, wind, geothermal solutions to serve their civilian needs but their military needs require nuclear fusion.
