A U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully evaded multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks. No American personnel were harmed.
I approved and applauded this, but we can’t say that anything they do is “unprovoked”.

Initial reports of an anti-ship ballistic missile launch from Sirik, southern Iran, towards the Strait of Hormuz.
If confirmed, it remains unclear whether the missile is targeting “non-compliant vessels” or US Navy forces.

Clearly we’re cool with continuing the blockade indefinitely past the midterms.
Once those are up what does Iran do in the face of another 2 years of the Trump administration in power and then the next administration likely continuing to cripple them economically as well?
It doesn’t seem Iran is going to be able to run the clock out and their economy is going to continue to spiral.

They have quit demanding the sanctions be lifted and now are begging for 12 billion to be released......thats about six weeks of cash flow for their govt, they must be in a REALLY tight spot.
The one thing a dictatorship has to do, is pay the troops....and they are missing that now.
It wont take til the end of this year before this ends.

Lebanon's Christian Lebanese Forces party is taking security precautions over fears of a Hezbollah attack, Kan News reports.
Foreign Minister Youssef Reji, the party's most hawkish anti-Hezbollah figure and the man who tried to expel Iran's ambassador, confirmed he has stopped coming to the Foreign Ministry in Beirut over security warnings. The ministry sits in an area where Hezbollah can operate.
Former Lebanese military court official Peter Germanos says Western intel points to party leader Samir Geagea as first on Iran's assassination list, with Reji second. The party's annual memorial in Maarab today was moved indoors over fears of a drone attack.

Thankfully this hasn't impacted our economy at all. Gas prices are at all time low correct?
They are going to hang in there. The time to hit them was during the protests. Now all the people that would topple the regime are in mass graves.
Sooner or later either the US or Iran will blink but my guess is the Iranians will just hunker down and wait until a new US administration takes power. Like they did with Carter.

Our economy is taking little impact compared to Iran.

They went through far worse during the hostage crisis. Far, far worse when you consider the high standard of living Iran had before the Ayatollah came to power.
Y'all are talking about forcing economic hardship on a country that already has a low standard of living. They'll just wait Trump out and keep gas prices high around the world. If gas prices remain sky high for the rest of Trump's Presidency the Democrats could run someone as lousy as AOC and win the next Presidential election.
All Iran has to do is survive and poop out a few Shaheed drones every now and then.

Well, that Ayatollah who was killed in his house was surprised.

BREAKING: Ansarallah is carrying out a large-scale ballistic missile and drone attack across southern Saudi Arabia.
Targets reportedly include King Khalid Air Base, Abha International Airport, an Aramco storage and distribution facility in Abha, and the Jazan Aramco refinery.
Footage from Khamis Mushait also appears to show either a drone impact or a low-altitude interception amid the ongoing attack.

Iran accounts for 4% of world oil. Other countries are going to start replacing what Iran used to produce and gas prices will stabilize. The longer Iran holds out the more they get fricked.
I'm fine with gas prices right now if it means Iran gets screwed.
I know it's not permanent. people need to quit sky screaming about this and look at the probable good outcomes.

Only about 30% of their population was around for that. If we make it adults during the 70s, we are down to 15%.
The majority of their population has no idea what it was like, as does this board.
