Treasury promised to sever every economic lifeline Tehran has left and finally end the threat of the Iranian regime. We also warned that Iran’s enablers cannot continue to enjoy access to the U.S. dollar and the global financial system. Banque Misr UAE decided to find out the hard way, and today, we are taking the first step in holding it accountable for its continued, egregious support of the Iranian regime.

Iran just launched 2 missiles at targets in the Hormuz Strait
This follows several launches a few hours ago
The likelihood of the US ceasefire against Iran holding until Sept. 30 had earlier jumped from just over 60% to 80% on Polymarket.?com
Tonight’s attacks might change it

Traffic is creeping back up and Iran is begging for return to the MoU and a reprieve from the blockade so they can resume their exports. I don't think the Trump admin will fall for it this time. Blockade until they collapse.

This is the first “blink” from Iran.
Normally I’d agree, but the MoU was already a “blink” from us.
They got greedy. We don’t need to make the same mistake when this whole thing was a frick up from us to begin with.

When you back out pre-war Iranian oil flow it is probably close to 100% since Iranian oil is not allowed to pass through today.

So after being one of the countries begging us not to bomb Iran earlier in the war and even threatening denying the use of their airspace at one point, the KSA is begging us to lead the fight against the Houthis. We told them no, we would offer support but that they would need to fight their own battle.
In other words, KSA, didn't want to help us? Too bad, get fricked.

The U.S. told Saudi Arabia it will support but not lead a military campaign against the Houthis in Yemen, a source in the forces opposing the Houthis who is in contact with the Americans tells Kan News.
At a mid-month meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman asked CENTCOM commander Bradley Cooper for the U.S. to be the one leading the campaign. Washington's response was that it is prepared to support a Saudi military move but not to lead it --especially since the Houthis are not currently directing fire at American vessels in the Red Sea and are focusing on Saudi ships.

Maybe my memory is faulty, but I remember about a year or so ago, the Houthis fired on one of our Navy ships in the Red Sea.
Then we made a deal with them that, as long as they did not fire on any of our ships, everything else was fair game and we would not interfere.
Am I remembering correctly?

According to both Al Jazeera and Axios, citing U.S. officials, the U.S. struck two Iranian rocket launch sites that were in the preparatory stages of launching sea mine laden rockets into the Strait of Hormuz. This development comes as both Iran and Oman claim to have reached a consensus on joint administration of the strait despite the IRGC claiming that they have the right to sole administration of the strategic maritime choke point.
