Well when you give countless ultimatums and then never follow through, the enemy will keep sticking their thumb in your eye. I keep thinking Trump will eventually learn, but his hubris limits his ability to do so.
This ain't a board room in NYC with a bunch white-collar pussies that he normally deals with, these are violent people that run a death cult. They would rather kill their entire people than give one inch to us and he needs to come to terms with that. He also needs to learn that you can't deal with a muslim ever on honest grounds, they are always looking to stab you in the back.
All his "friends" in places like Qatar, Turkey, etc would stab him in the back if they could and get away with it. None of the money or "investments" they make is worth dealing with them and helping them make money to further their cause. The sooner Trump realizes that is battle of the Western world against the Muslim hoard, the better off he will be.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has issued a final ultimatum to President Masoud Pezeshkian, stripping him of his main political leverage. Inside sources reveal Pezeshkian has used the threat of resignation as political leverage 28 times during these policy disputes. Most recently, Pezeshkian officially tried to resign in May, protesting that his government was "entirely sidelined" from national security and foreign policy.
By refusing to reject another resignation, Khamenei is signaling total alignment with the military establishment, leaving the President with nowhere left to turn.

Never underestimate prides ability to lay even the highest of us low.
Trump for all the good he did in his first term and early in the second term, is undoing his legacy by letting his pride get to him. He has never taken criticism well and is the type of person that the more you try to help him, the deeper he will go in trying to prove he is right.

Any acquiescence to their desire(s) will result in the expectations and demands of further acquiescence.
In your and my post, we've stated the issue with no satisfactory US resolution. I don't particularly care if Iran receives any satisfaction to any resolution. What the resolution is, I don't know. I will say a resolution is not to walk away or wash hands.
