According to Trump the strait has no control over US oil prices and that we don't even need or use the strait. Also let's remember the strait was completely open and operating as normal before this began. The issues of the strait is a direct cause of this not the reason it started to begin with. It's become obvious over the last months that Iran is not willing to make and deal and we are unwilling to do what needs to be done to force them to make a deal on nuclear or any other issues. So should we just continue this tit for tat BS indefinitely?

We constantly make the mistake of looking at this conflict from a western civilized point of view. Not our fault because we are capable of rational thinking and have a value of human life. That is not what we are dealing with when it comes to Iran. We are dealing with a regime that is willing to let its country and people burn for the simple desire of embarrassing and defeating the western world. Until we give them that desire they will not make a deal and things are not going to change.

Everything Trump has said in the last 3 days in regards to Iran is total BS IMO. There are no diplomatic talks occurring between us and anyone in Iran. If anything, it's just Kushner and Witkoff talking to Qatar and that is it.
The only thing that is happening is the markets are being manipulated by Trump. Can't do this shite forever however, eventually he is going to have to find his balls, let them drop and take down the IRGC and the IR. It's the only way any of the "goals" get accomplished.
Until that happens, our enemies will continue to think we are weak and lack resolve. Our allies will question our abilities to protect them if need be, and ponder is it really worth being allied with us. The USA's reputation as a world power is taking a hit right now because our leader/leaders lack the huevos to take the unpleasant, but necessary steps to get this done.
