Why do we continue to arm Israel? They're more than capable of fighting their own battles without US intervention, and in spite of Hannity's forthcoming protestations, they can keep all their Sodastream and halvah-flavored pirouline wafers.

Vance can kiss his presidential aspirations goodbye. He and Trump have fricked this up so bad even the bullshitters can’t talk their way out of this disaster. I’m sick of listening to Trump tell me how great this is when it’s objectively horrible. Now Vance has his stamp all over this and can get fricked.
Vance has been fricked since he was sworn in. It seems like anything that could blowback or be unpopular, you can bet your arse Vance has been assigned to be front and center.
Trump doesn’t respect Vance and I don’t think he really gives a damn about what happens with the party after he leaves office. Trump just wanted somebody who was a dumb enough and striving advancement to take every shite job he assigns to the VP with vigor.
I don’t give a damn what they say for PR. Just look at the facts. Trump just wants Vance to go eat shite for unpopular things. Which is essentially one of two ways the VP usually goes: you’re the meat shield for bad PR or casted away until reelection time.

A sacrifice that Israel is willing to make.

Yeah. I suspect that he will leave the state department sometime after midterms to begin laying the groundwork for his campaign.

Except for the fact he said he would not run if Vance did.
Do you folks forget that?

Trump’s crew fired a lot of experienced military brass to install in top roles the most loyal (to Trump) toadies. The “yes men” usually aren’t the best.

IRGC on maritime radio channel 16:
"Given that the withdrawal of Israel from Lebanon, the complete lifting of the naval blockade, and the departure of American terrorist forces from the Persian Gulf and the region are core conditions for an agreement between Iran and the United States, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until these two conditions are met. All vessels are hereby instructed to avoid approaching the Strait of Hormuz for their own safety and security. Any vessel that disregards this order will be targeted."

Scathing. This could be a moot point now that the talks have been called off.
