Trump is letting Israel respond the way any nation would. The U.S. is publicly “saving face” to calm the region. Meanwhile, Trump is maneuvering behind the scenes to keep the conflict contained while still projecting strength.

They may have taken out this piece of shite last night. If so, that will go a long way to ending the war. He was the guy pulling the strings and really running things. Vahidi controlled all "access" to the supposedly living Mojtaba. We might see a internal collapse if Vahidi was indeed taken out, if it comes out Mojtaba has been dead this entire time.

Exactly. Israel did listen. That is why they struck back at Iran, because they were given the green light.
One of their targets was leadership. The misinformation of telling Israel not to attack was probably to keep those targets in place and not hiding in deeper bunker somewhere.

It appears this way to me.
We started the war and did a full blown bombing campaign against Iran. We had a limited amount of time before congress would have to declare war for this to continue. The plan was actually well ahead of schedule the the 12000th target was hit.
Now that the heavy lifting is done, The plan called for the remainder of the offensive attacks to come from Israel (congress can't get in the way).
phase 2 is implemented.
Phase two is the blockade and embargo coupled with Israel dealing mainly with Hizballah while Iran fractures and weakens without a bomb needing to be dropped save retaliatory strikes.
phase 3 will be the in the future.

Trump might as well as take his little piece of paper he wants Iran to sign and throw it in the shredder because this conflict is re-entering the hot stage again.
If he has the stomach to get back in it, this time finish the regime off for good, then he can have whatever pro-western party we put in power sign his little piece of paper about nuclear dust.
