Obama's warlike speech in Wales right now.

Doesn't sound like things are so tranquil in the world right now.
I'm glad to hear him say what he's saying. I like what I'm hearing.
Seems like war in Iraq is not over and the "more flexibility" to "Re set Button" the Russians didn't work, but, I'm glad that he seems to realize this.
Good speech POTUS Obama.

Giving speeches is something he excels at. Following up with actions to back up his speeches, not so much.

Part of me hates that we're back to war mongering because we can't afford it and I resent that none of our European allies (aside from UK) really bear any of the brunt of these fights. I wish we'd sit it out and make Germany and the Arab nations pitch in for a change.
Germany always stays out of it - they're very smart.
With that said - if we're going to spend the money and risk the lives, let's go kick some arse and kill some Islamists.

Yup, just words.

Well they're also not allowed to be militarized.

What amazes me is how the Turks stay out of it..... At least overtly.

Jeez how embarrassing that I didn't even realize that. It's ironic that this "punishment" has turned out to be such a huge blessing for their economy.

The Turks are more concerned about the Kurds gaining power than they are ISIS.

September 15, 2009: “I want you all to know, I will not rest until anybody who’s looking for a job can find one — and I’m not talking about just any job, but good jobs that give every American decent wages and decent benefits and a fair shot at the American Dream.”

August 16, 2010: “My administration will not rest till every American who is willing to work can find a job, and a job that pays decent wages and decent benefits to support a family.”
September 16, 2010: “We will not rest until we have accounted for the missing members of our armed forces.”

I imagine if you replaced rest with golf, one would take it very seriously.

I think it's too late for great speeches.

The problem with Obama is that he believes that words ARE action - or that words magically trigger action.
And I'm torn, because on those rare occasions in which he does act, it is wrong-headed, overreaching or both.

He is so divisive in his quotes when something happens within the African American community, that it's hard for anyone to rally behind him when he makes an attempt to unify all people together as one group - Americans.
It just doesn't work for me at all.

I agree.. I would also say Obama is a product of the media driven, sound-bite oriented society in which we live. Therefore he confuses rhetoric with results...
I am often reminded of the old saying.. "the road to hell is paved with good intentions...."

I agree with Coach Don. The racial divisiveness that Obama and Holder have fostered is hard to overlook. You don't hear a lot about it, because the people being demonized don't march, riot, or loot, but the animosity they have engendered is palpable.
I guarantee you that you will never again see Obama throwing out the first pitch at an MLB game, and certainly not Holder. They would be booed out of the stadium, and they know it.
People aren't stupid. They recognize an agenda when they see one, even if the media is going along with their false narrative.

Re: "I will not rest"...great point, Dante.
I'd love to see how many times he uses 'fair shot' when talking about economics. Using the same terms over and over again is a sign of minimal intellect.
