Knowing the precise engineered differences

Still not what we are asking. What is different about them in your mind.

Simple words will do fine. Like this:

"Mini-14 is made of wood"
"AR-15 looks black and scary"

Just tell us why you want the AR-15 banned, but not the mini-14. This shouldn't be hard.

I'm saying I don't particularly care if we ban both as opposed to just the AR-15. Because we know that doing so will save lives.

About the same as the differences between pseudomonas aeruginosa and staphylococcus aureus in your minds.

So why ban one and not the other? What makes one ban worthy, and not the other? What makes both worthy of a ban?

Details please.

ETA: Thank you for admitting you want to ban an AR-15, but don't care about a Mini-14. This tells me all I need to know about your education level on firearms. My 10 year old nephew knows more by the way.

That is one hell of an assumption you have there.

Banning only the AR-15 is going to stop mass shootings? Really? So some psycho is gonna go "Well frick me, no more AR-15's I guess i'm shite out of luck".

Irrelevant to the conversation. Nice try at deflection though.

As are the differences between those two guns.

Thank you for making my point for me!

(even if you did fall into it arse-backwards)

You claim to be educated on them, yet you know literally nothing about gun control.

Again, you're attempting to throw up a shibboleth to forestall any actual conversation on the matter, because you know the data are against you.

So what do you project the results will be on gun death stats if we ban the AR-15, but keep the Mini-14 legal?

Not when you advocate for the outright ban of an AR-15, but are just peachy with the Mini-14.

It shows you are completely uneducated on the subject and are emotional.

Well, I mean, that's kind of her thing here.

It's just fun to rub her nose in it.

Is that the only reform we're taking in your hypothetical?

Sure.

I mean since you don't want to ban handguns after all right?

How many people did a mini-14 kill in Florida last month in a school?

Was it greater than zero?

An emotional appeal.

You can't tell us what the difference is because you know there isn't one. You just want to slowly work your way to a total ban, which is all you're after, despite your willingness to admit it.

Ya, she knows eventually we'll corner her into advocating for a ban of all firearms.

For the children of course.

"If it saves one life!!!!" and shite.

In the same way that you not wanting any stricter gun control laws because it would interfere with your fetish is an emotional appeal.

You might want to tell Colt and Ruger that - they would love to go to court to settle who gets to force the other to stop selling.

This is untrue, and shows a complete inability to follow arguments made in this thread.

I don't care about the difference because it's not material. In the sense that it is material, I'll let the people who sell more guns than anyone (see: Walmart) make the distinction as to which fall under categories not worth sale to the public.

Because you don't understand the differences...or lack thereof. It's the most material part of this conversation. The fact you don't understand that is...telling.

You could just say "I don't know."
