Would you rather go back to the days when the streets were left open to traffic and nutjobs like John Hinckley could get close enough to the President to assassinate him?

I dont recall John hinckley being in a car.....

I think OP might be hinting at that.

He was on foot, but my point is that back in those days, streets were left open to vehicle and foot traffic, but today, that's no longer the case.

Don't apologize. Punching a clock is honorable. We don't have the technology yet to allow folks to flip burgers from home.

You've come to my last two threads I've started and you mentioned whining in each thread in your first comment, perhaps you are the one upset/whining. Why don't you contribute or move along?
I'm glad you work in a profession that affords you a lot of flexibility...if you had a high demand job you'd probably understand where I'm coming from.

Remind me of your last thread. Either way, the logic there is outstanding.
I hate to go there, but
Maybe if you moved to the 'burbs instead of that gang infested wasteland you call a home, your life would be better.
Come on, give it to me.

My gf stayed at work an extra hour till 6 pm and still couldn't get out of her garage. Walked out of downtown to a bar and I had to pick her up there. At least it was a nice afternoon to have a beer at a patio bar.

I heard about it, saw the traffic from my office so I just chilled until 7 and cruised home to the Heights....this morning though was a different story. I was stuck on Smith and got to work about 30 minutes later than my usual. I think the Pres should stay near the airport and not lockup traffic in high traffic areas like a downtown business district.

Didn't think I could dislike this fellow anymore until he decided to set up camp at the hotel right next to my building. Had I not abandoned my van pool last night and taken the bus, I would have never gotten out of the garage yesterday.
