2 possibilities:

1. Something is coming out anyway, and he wants to get on top of it

2. He’s really not into child porn, so he’s using this story as an alibi for pedo friends/associates
3. Someone genuinely fricked up tried to ruin him and he felt the need to alert society that these sick fricks exist.

I don’t doubt that the upper echelon of society has some real disgusting bastards who genuinely need to be put down. And I’m not ruling out the possibility of Krugman being in that group. But I also don’t doubt the desire of basement dwelling nerds to extract preemptive vengeance from anyone they view negatively. So I’m also not ruling out the possibility that they’ve turned their attention to one of the most cited liberal economists in the world today.

I’m not going to assume someone is guilty of something as disgusting as pedo shite with this little information. We gotta give people the benefit of the doubt with things this serious until evidence to the contrary emerges, else mob mentality is going to cause us to make an increasing number of very serious mistakes. The left’s already fully on board with this instant outrage mentality as witnessed with debacles like the Indian drummer nonsense. Let’s not follow their mistakes and start crucifying the innocent.

Krugman has literally lied about EVERYTHING and has won awards for lying.

Frick him. If this were ANY R, Krugman and his ilk would already have them guilty, no matter what.

Krugman is one I would be the least surprised to find out he's a pedo.

When will Krugman be able to move past this allegation? First pass answer, never.

Okay? Why would a Qanon be targeting Krugman? Seems completely out of left field to me. I still feel like I'm missing something here.

We can hope. The left has made a lot of hay ruining or attempting to ruin people's reputations for political benefit. What goes around comes around.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Cops episodes where there was crack and a crack pipe in this dudes pocket and he's all like, "but those are not my pants"

So the Nobel prize-winning economist who underestimated the importance of the internet on commerce also doesn't understand how IP addresses work...

While you’re using literally wrong, I agree with the underlying point; he’s left legitimate economist far in his rear view mirror and has fully embraced the position of partisan hack. Which is exactly the thing I could see potentially making him a target.

Exactly. And that’s a key component of what’s fricking wrong with society. I’m not going to support embracing the worst part of the opposition’s personality just because frick them.

Honestly, might not surprise me either. But again, with something this serious, we simply can’t operate in the realm of might. Turn it over to a cyber crimes investigator and let them get to the bottom of it. We should do our best to withhold judgement until then.

Why wait on an investigation? Krugman already said it was QAnon.

His targeting argument might hold a little bit of water if anons even knew who the frick this dude was, in the first place, much less to pick him to be framed.

Yeah, it's weird to attribute it to anons instead of other groups with more of a track record of digital mischief-making. Anons are a more passive bunch, generally more happy to research & bake bread & wait for the storm to transform society to the glorious utopia post-Great Awakening.

If that were the case, wouldn't the downloaded data be hidden deep inside (it's an industry term) his computer?

Agree that his partisanship makes him a target. In some authoritarian countries, proxies of the government are targeting dissidents this very way.

Still, as likely as not, it's random (as much as our paranoid political culture tells us "THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES").

Prior to today, in 26 months his name has only come up SIX times:

2 of those times are just saying he's a member of the Illuminati, and 3 of the remaining 5 are repeats of his article saying that economists got globalization wrong.

If anons were going to target someone, it would make much more sense to frame a vocal critic of Q like Travis View, Ben Collins or Mike Rothschild.

by 'cited' do you mean the one made fun of the most?? or the one who has been wrong about just about every opinion he has asserted?? or the one who the MSM goes to to drag out some other reason to hate DJT??

yea - he is cited quite often

I don’t disagree with that but Krugman is a pretty well known economist.

Among folks who can name a non-Milton Friedman economist, maybe.

My point is that there's no motive for anons (as a collective) to have an axe to grind with this dude, specifically, particularly given that his name has only come up tangentially through the course of almost 7.8 million posts.

This. And if someone were planting child porn on my computer I would be livid beyond belief to find the guilty party. I'd be going to the police, FBI, anyone who would listen. I wouldn't be throwing out wild accusations against people who are likely innocent.
