Do you know that only 9% of those detained by ICE have committed those types of crime? Do you also know that 86% of those detained by ICE have no criminal record? Do you also know that 1% of those detained by ICE are legal U.S. citizens? Do you also know that 32 people died in ICE custody last year, the deadliest year in more than two decades?
I’m fine with these numbers, I want them out.

No one is forcing me into ICE detention either. The 1% detained by ICE is similar to the innocent people who get detained by police because of mistaken identity. You don’t stop policing because of that; you just try to do a better job. The fact that it’s only 1% tells me ICE is doing well.
