You always hate to see another “woke” policy fall flat on it’s face. I mean who wouldn’t feel safe riding with the homeless. Clueless……. I wonder if the mayor uses public transit on a daily basis.

quote:

New York Mayor Eric Adams has resorted to begging businesspeople to ride the subway on the daily, as he strives to get more people back into their offices. Among those he has asked to ride the subway is JP Morgan boss Jamie Dimon.

quote:

Surveys have found that "fear of a crime-plagued subway" is the overwhelming reason people don't return to the office.

quote:

The Metropolitan Transportation Agency (MTA) said there are nearly 350 homeless people living in almost 90 subway stations - as New York City Mayor Eric Adams promises to tackle the ongoing crisis as part of his new subway safety plan. Hundreds of homeless people were found camping out in New York City's subway tunnels and stations earlier this month, MTA officials said on Thursday. Transit workers and outreach employees found almost 30 'homeless encampments' in the tunnels and another 89 camps in stations.

New York is back to looking like the set of The Warriors. No one with means is going to walk out in the open in that rathole.

The subway is sort of like Field of Dreams. If you clean it up, the riders will come.

This fricktard is no different than De Blasio, thinking you can just let the drug-addled homeless live down there and there will be no problems.

It's not working out and he can't understand why.

Its pretty simple: make it safe and people will use it

That seems to be hard for any Democrat to comprehend

You first Adams. I had some hope this guy would improve things because you can’t get much worse than de Blasio but Adams is a clown too

Anyone who thought he was going to be different than De Blasio was not paying attention. This is the same mouthbreather who told people to not call police if people were shooting off fireworks late on July 4, but to instead go downstairs and ask your neighbors to stop. A lady followed his advice and got murdered for it.

Adams is fricking moron.

LINK

quote:

A Brooklyn woman who followed Borough President Eric Adams’ advice for New Yorkers to settle disputes neighbor-to-neighbor rather than calling 911 wound up shot dead after she confronted some punks setting off illegal fireworks, the victim’s grieving mom said.

Shatavia Walls, 33, was blasted eight times in an East New York public housing complex on July 7, simply for asking the fiends to take their dangerous display away from a group of playing kids — exactly how Adams had urged constituents to act in the face of the pyrotechnic plague.

“She watched the news. Yes, she heard it,” Helen Testagros, Walls’ heartbroken mother, told The Post on Sunday, referring to Adams’ advice. “It was probably in the back of her mind.”

Amid increasing complaints of illegal fireworks detonations, Adams on June 21 said people should talk to their neighbors about the “nonviolent act,” rather than call the authorities and risk a “heavy-handed” police response.

Make it expensive as hell to live in NYC

Tax people for their presence in the city and the state as residents regardless of where they live

Don’t enforce the law against criminals nor require bail for people even on violent offenses

Wonder why high earners refuse to return to the city

You hate to see it.

Deblasio and Adams is going to be like an 8 year stretch of Dinkins. We will see if they wise up and make the needed corrections or just continue with failure.

They are going to continue with failure.

Those who fail history tend to repeat it.

Hopefully any failure of the city takes place after the Dems lose office so it can be blocked.
