Ted Cruz is a Nazi? Has anyone told the Nazis about this?

This is just the DNC knowing he is going to lose, and putting the brakes on his presidential run. He’s not an inside guy yet.

It keeps it fresh in the news cycle, which is their goal.

So they are not really a news site, but more of a propaganda outlet.

It's interesting that you think that. I agree.

Where has this author been? The identity of O’Rourke’s FiL has been common knowledge for years.

The NYT reports that O'Rourke's father-in-law proposed gentrifying a neighborhood in El Paso by force, bulldozing public housing to make way for restaurants, a shopping district, and an art walk.
Basically, the City of El Paso used eminent domain for private development, with an eye toward reclamation of a blighted area.

I am not a fan of this use of eminent domain, but it is nothing new.

I actually earned a tad of respect for Beta. Development, gentrification, and making money are good things. It’s not surprising democrats hate that stuff.

They ran the story because they realized that he has already lost the race in Texas and now it is about preventing his fundraising from translating into higher political ambitions on the national stage.

Don't be.

The Times story would have never seen light of day if the Texas race was close. It isn't though. So the NYT can run it, then brag about how nonpartisan they are.

Everyone who is informed knows Beta's history. Everyone who is informed knows he's an owned man. Everyone who is informed knows he crushed El Paso barrios to line his pockets. We've seen videos of those disenfranchised residents screaming at him. We've seen the images of Beta flashing his shamed Jeff-Flake-elevator-face in response to those protests.

This stuff was out there for anyone to report. The Times sat on it for months. The story was sidelined until it could not possibly make a difference to the outcome.

It's like Joe Manchin waiting to see whether the GOP had the votes for Kavanaugh. Once he knew they did, he threw in his too. If two GOP's would have voted no, Manchin would never have voted "yes". Not in a million years. Now though, Joe will travel home and brag about what a good bipartisan fellow he's is. Many gullible voters will agree.

It's a charade.

It's a head-fake to curry favor with Republicans. They know Beto's goose is cooked, so they jab him before he goes "splat". Beto is an NYT sacrificial lamb.
