Boy that sure does sound familiar...

But they’ve kept the kids safe from the Wuhan Virus, right?
Because that’s what REALLY matters...

Well, apparently, in Alabama "online" schooling will be an option if a parent so desires... Now, it might sound ok on the surface but why is the public school system providing online service and at what cost?
It is like people are making decisions and not even thinking about them...

And most of all...the kids were LOW INCOME...
Commies wont stop at anything to destroy. Equally terrible schooling is better than inequality to them. Better we all.suffer than just some of us.

If a school provides “online” schooling, will those same students be required to pay all kinds of bullshite fees covering supplies and facilities they won’t be using?

This is Alabama, of course no one has thought this thing through but I would imagine there will be an "online school fee"... What I wonder is does the system qualify for Federal funding and other funding sources for the students that elect to attend "online"?

Children are simply props and Legislative Human Shields to the Democrats.

School administrations and teachers unions are controlled by leftists. Leftists hate when people succeed. They want everyone to be as miserable and dependent on the state as they are. Since a lot of these kids are low income, they especially hate that some of them might escape the plantation. Leftists want everyone to be the LCD.

I just read the entire article and I still can't find any GOOD reason for shutting down the school.
Sure you did. You even said it yourself:

Which part? I grew up in Okaloosa and the public schools there rivaled the private schools in most places, I don't think we ever had any charters. I know Pensacola has some bad schools though
Bay County, which has pretty good schools as well. We were more concerned about discipline and culture than we were them being poorly educated. The district and zoning we were in was fine as far as the education quality.
Florida didn't pass charter school legislation until 1996, so depending on when you grew up charter schools may not have been a possibility.

Honestly, that's a totally ignorant argument from them. The money follows the child whether the child is in that charter school or in the public school. There really isn't any money to be gained for them here.
But you hit the problem square on the nose. It's not about money, and it's not about kids being educated. It's about money they controland kids being educated under their control. The fact that kids might be receiving a great education doesn't matter.
It took me longer than it should have to figure that out; I thought they were opposing charter schools because they were worried about the quality of the education. Nope, that's irrelevant. What they control is all that matters, and they don't control charter schools, so they despise them.
