The private Club is August National....not The Masters.
One doesn't really need to the other.... If the Masters goes away, Augusta National will still be there...

Take down all paintings by the dutch masters
Burn all copies of Master and Commander
Master Engineers no longer should be employed
Because master really is only describing slave owners
And who gives a flying f...ox about who owned the land prior to Augusta National.
In reality I think some "journalist" is sitting at a laptop laughing at the thought of how many jimmies he/she will rustle with this filler article

Uh.... Kim Jong Il shot a 34 (38 under par) - with 5-holes in one. Pretty sure he mastered it.
Totally Legit News Story

Masters of the Universe is the biggest plantation ever.

Isn’t Arlington National Cemetery built on RE Lee’s plantation?

Yep but that was done as punishment to Lee himself...

Wouldn’t bother me in the least if they cancelled it permanently. Truth be told, most of their elite members especially those of political persuasion have stood idly by or even cheered on the destruction of southern heritage. They’ve bent the knee more than once in the past to SJWs. Fiuckem’

Fine, and Augusta National is as punishing a golf course as there is.

I remember when the Masters required all entrants to use the club's black caddies.
Since abolishing that rule in 1982, the percentage of black caddies has dropped to nearly zero while the earnings for caddies has gone through the roof.
So, this racist club and tournament actually had an economic opportunity zone for blacks that has since been disintegrated to serve the interest of who, exactly?...
For some, the all-black staff on the old indigo plantation might have evoked memories of slavery and Jim Crow, but for many black Augustans like the Jacksons, a job at Augusta National was a source of pride and a steady income at one of the most famous golf clubs in the world. When I think of the Masters, I think of Carl and Bud and the countless other black men who have donned the white overalls of the Augusta National caddie. They were a community, one whose earnings trickled down to the local economy. “Monday morning after the Masters, all the caddies had made their money and the businesses downtown were waiting on us to spend some of that money,” Carl remembers.
