Well this guy won’t leave now. He never even lost his job. Just straight up stopped paying. Baton Rouge city court judge has an agenda and will.not.evict.
I’ve said it a million times but I’m 2 blocks from justice of the peace territory. They’ve been evicting the whole time. I begged for them to take me.

I wish
The other one I had got rental assistance once I non renewed her lease and the owners chose to accept it.
I had this one convinced to leave.

I am not sure but how is he covered under the protections of eviction if he didn't lose his job due to covid? He is freeloading and thinks he has the power. Ask him for documentation of his covid job loss. Negotiate he pays something.

The specific judge I keep getting assigned has an agenda.
She coached the last resident in what to say FROM THE STAND the last time I was in court. It’s such a flaming crock of shite. I sat there all day and watched her refuse to grant evictions, even if the residents were gone. She told 2 people that if they showed back up they had to let them in.
I’ve been doing this for a looong time. I miss JOP evictions.

I'd bet the next 3 months of my salary that this is in place until October 1st, and will be renewed at that point for another three months.

That sucks. Maybe he won't watch the news. But he will. Ask him for half rent and tell him there will come a fine day you won't be reasonable.
Too bad you couldn't have kicked his arse out in the few days when the moratorium expired.

Won’t even matter if the city judge coaches defendants. Wild!

Literally none of that is legal.

I left that day feeling so sad for the state of things. And shocked.

Are these the same CDC assholes that claim just because someone got a vaccine and then died, doesn't mean the vaccine killed them?

Welp, you'd better lock and load. Assuming a suit is filedtomorrow, it will be October before it makes it to the supreme court and at that point it will have been renewed into something different enough that the courts will have to start over.

I’ve heard of this happening in another city court. I had the same reaction.

Out of state owner kept pushing me to file every month, but I told him that’s just going to piss her off to the point of her not granting my evictions when or if this ever ends...
