The original players:

Journalism: The 4th Estate no longer exists. All traditional outlets of widespread and traditional journalism are not only biased to the left but in a fairly recent development have abandoned any pretensions that they are otherwise.

Federal Law Enforcement: The FBI has devolved from the heroes you wish would show up during Road House to fix the local tyranny of Brad Wesley to the guys that would bury his transgressions if he was a Democrat.

Bureaucracy: Our real overlords. Overpaid, unaccountable hordes of thousands of people that make policy, influence policy and enforce policy with no consideration for anything other than maintaining their existence.

The House: Increasingly radicalized. It is supposed to be the nut house that is tempered by the Senate but it impeached the President on nothing.

The Swamp: All of it. The power players that are too innumerable to name through various and widespread entities and agencies that actually control everything in different capacities but with the same goal: Keep things to their liking and to their benefit on the backs of the people.

The New Players:

Social Media: Played it cool until they felt like they had enough power to brazenly and outwardly defy any standard of fairness or objectivity and have become quite literally Orwellian.

Cultural dismemberment: Dissolution of common sense re simple things such as what is a male and a female.

Feel free to add anything I’ve missed.

I would include Academia and public education as guilty parties.

You are correct. That’s why I asked for input. A glaring omission on my part.

The FBI has always been corrupt. You just didn't know it or want to accept it. It's very establishment was via corruption.

It’s amazing Trump ever got elected when you look at all the forces against him.

You hit the high — or more accurately— the low points.

The United States “won” the Cold War and remains the world’s supreme super-power.

Yet what “freedoms” are we defending?

That our government props up corrupt theocracies abroad and intentionally sows chaos in 3rd world hell holes as a permanent foreign policy objective?

That our government forces us to buy into a sovietized healthcare system?

That our government spies on the private conversations of U.S. citizens without warrants?

That our government violently targets political opposition that threatens its hegemony— both foreign and domestic— with false flag attacks or fabricated intelligence dossiers?

That our government would destroy our livelihoods and force us to indefinitely shelter in our homes for our supposed health and security?

Something has gone horribly wrong.

Whatever good exists in the country— and there is as much good in this country as in any other nation on earth — exists in spite of the Feral Government of the United States.

The Republic is finished: we are living in it’s ruins.

The sooner folks accept Bannon's "the US is in managed decline" as fact, their sanity and heartbreak can get on board with the Elizabeth Kubler-Ross model, the better.

Charles Murray 'Coming Apart', Pat Buchanon 'Suicide of a Superpower', and David Schein 'Decline of America'..are must reads. So too Thomas Sowell, Douglas Murray, etc..

The ship has set sail. It's not a case of IF, but rather WHEN.

The US is like the film DOA, whether original or remake, Edmond O' Brien or Dennis Quiad, in that it's already terminally poisoned. Just has some time left for the sheep to maybe figure out why they are dunzo/donezo.

Outside the Trojan Horsing of the Church (And thus the corruption of family and marriage), this is the biggest problem.

Hegemony of China is what will prevent a correction. Once the USA is gone, western civilization is lost.

Is a Republic inherently good simply because it is a Republic? Of course not. A Republic is only good if it is made up of virtuous people who elect virtuous representatives to enact reasonable public policy for the public good. A debased, debouched, and degenerate people elect cynical, corrupt representatives, who enact short-sighted, venal, and destructive public policy. The Republic is no longer good, but evil. That is when the Republic must be cast aside. It is time for our Caesar. We don't know who he is yet, but he is coming. Of that, we can be very sure.

No doubt they will try. But hundreds of millions of legal gun owners and the Promise Keepers say otherwise.

I NEVER want to see it come to that but the 2nd Amendment means what it says.
