I can remember the very first episode of Bonanza around 1961 or 62, maybe? Also one of my favorites.

"Bonanza" premiered in the fall/1959. It was the very first TV show to be shot completely in color from beginning to finish.

I think we got our first color tv in 1967 or so. So much different with the beautiful scenery on the Ponderosa.

Probably cause people don't visit other boards, and this is a heads up that most on here would appreciate. Geez people that only talk about the job at work.

BTW - heard he hasn't passed yet, but is in hospice care. His cancer is beating him now, so could be soon.

Sorry to hear this, I watch these guys everyday when I take my first break. Every show has a morale to the Story, good stuff.

Well, you’re extremely naive and gullible. That’s been an established fact for years on this board.

I had heard he was sick but hadn't heard anything until today.. Damn that's sad.. I get up almost every morning to watch the show on MeTv at 7:00am..

My favorite episode is when Wally cuts Beaver's hair because Beaver lost his money for a haircut..

Would love a site that has all those older ones to watch

Roku channel has several. All 237 episodes of Leave it to Beaver are free. I'm 18 episodes in to season three.

I hate to hear this. One of my favorite programs in the early '60's. Makes me feel my age and that I am getting into the short rows of life. Wally, Eddie and Lumpy were hilarious. RIP Wally.

I always enjoyed the wholesome qualities of Leave it to Beaver and the way Wally always looked out for his little brother. I’ve heard he was a nice guy in real life. R.I.P. Tony Dow
