As it's been pointed out it is entirely dependent on environment/context. We aren't hippos and there aren't men fighting over harems.. most often we actually try not to reproduce (birth control) which is the least alpha thing one could ever do. There are some decent parallels to be drawn but we don't live in a society that requires direct competition for reproductive success.
The fact that we are talking about this probably disqualifies all of us anyways

There are different levels of Alphas and Alphas for different situations. Trump is an Alpha when compared to all the Beta leftist but if you put Trump in a group of 5 or 6 golf game with a bunch of jocks they are going to mess with him so bad and I doubt he can take. Put him at a hunting camp with a bunch of old timers and he won't even be close to being the Alpha of that group. Trump is an alpha only because politics is full of betas.

You cant directly compare human interactions/society to that of other animals in that way. We're much more complex so it would also stand to reason our hierarchies are also a lot more complex.

I agree to an extent but I stand by the premise of my post. Some guys may be Alpha at one place and not at another while some men are Alpha all the time.
