Hard to read these tea leaves exactly but putting in the “substantial information...” language would seem to paint Mueller into a corner if he actually didn’t have anything. I mean will he come out in a couple weeks and say, “trump is innocent” after just saying you let Flynn off as a result of all the great info he gave in helping to incriminate Trump?
Maybe I’m seeing it wrong but my initial response is this isn’t a positive sign and would lead me to think Mueller plans on moving forward with some sort of indictment.
Of course, if there were legit crimes, why wouldn’t Flynn stonewall and count on a pardon and high level position within the Trump organization as gratitude?

Please. Bob's merry bunch of crooks got busted manipulating Flynn into a false confession. They put off his sentencing for a year and then dump a recommendation of no jail time after 8 pm before a government holiday. The cooperation is a bullshite line in an effort to save face by Muller. "Uhmm yeah, he lied but uhh he really cooperated. So that's totally why he gets no jail time."

I would be more pissed if Trump's transition team didn't have contact with the Russians. Arguably Trump's biggest foreign policy achievement has been eradicating ISIS. The Russians have been dealing with Wahhabi extremism in Chechnya and Dagestan for a decade longer than we have. Of course they would talk.

I don’t know what Flynn did or did not tell Honest Bob. But HB’s team signed a pleading in federal court, with the eyes of the world upon them, stating that Flynn offered substantial assistance.
Contrast that with what they said about Manafort and I think it’s fair to assume Flynn played ball. Now whether he had anything to offer is another thing, but it seems he was quite cooperative.
