Essentially, yes. The idea that we just take out their leader and that’s it is fantastical and ignorant of history. There’s going to be a lot of blowback, and we will most likely have to support Machado militarily and financially for the foreseeable future. Venezuelans aren’t dumb, they know this is about us plundering their oil reserves. Anything to prop up the weakening petrodollar.

His "wars" are averaging 3.5 minutes and have had 0 casualties to Americans. I am ok with those kind of wars.

Can you explain how we will pay for it

Be specific

I mean, literally we will pay for it. Probably more inflation. We can’t afford all the nation building Trump wants.

And still the MAGA know nothings proudly revel in their own ignorance and lack of a historical imagination. If Iran’s Revolutionary Guard attempted to raid Mar-a-Lago to target Trump, it would rightly be viewed as a war.

A regime change operation to oust a leader in a sovereign nation by an opposing military force is the very definition of a war. Further, a regime change operation is not a one-off military strike but involves significant post-strike political and military complexities.

Trump has already indicated that the United States will “run” Venezuela. When we make the mistake of viewing a regime change operation as a stand-alone military exercise rather than a comprehensive, long-term foreign policy commitment, it disregards the immeasurable loss of lives, the immense loss of financial resources and the tremendous loss of political capital that such past operations have incurred.

You blithering moron.

Venezuela’s revolutionary guard has been operating in our country killing our citizens.

So following your logic, they started a war. Trump is ending it.

Nicolás Maduro was head of a huge Venezuelan narco ring. Americans on our streets were dying in droves from the demon called fentanyl. The same drug that killed Gorge Floyd.

In order to save a child (or a country) a parent must often do something drastic that a child does NOT approve. I could NOT be more proud of our President and our freedom loving country right now.

God Bless President Trump. No one will EVER accuse him of not doing the hard stuff to defend our borders from drugs or terrorist, or a**holes like Joe Biden.

So how long you think before we're allowed to go to Venezuela? It's a gorgeous country and inspite of this temporary hiccup the people are friendly.

Long Live Venezuela - the Gem of South America.
