You realize the door was closed to one room and the shooter shot through the window to the door right? So how is your piece of rubber going to help then?
Even if it buys a few seconds, my kids have a chance. It fits neatly in the side of a backpack.

There’s also this magical thing on doors already called a “lock”.
And you can shoot through those.
It would be much harder shooting your way through a door frame or a wall.
Any of you other wizards have a better idea besides stripping away of the Bill of Rights?

Fire Marshall says hi. Doors opening outward prevent a log jam of people getting crushed at a door in a panic situation. Can’t pull in a door if a mob of people are pushing behind you

What Fire Marshall doesn’t allow an interior door to swing inward?
Please tell me!
We are talking about interior doors to classrooms.

Guess the fire Marshall never visited my school. All of the classroom doors opened inward and unless major remodeling was done in the past year or so they still do.
Exterior doors are outward opening because if fire not interior

Apparently this looked like a good idea at 4 in the morning... it's not.
