No need to train millions of teachers to shoot a gun. The answer is pennies on the dollar!

And if need be; remodel doorways to open inward into every classroom.

The shooter pulled the fire alarm...a teacher isn’t putting a door stop in and locking kids in during a fire drill/alarm

She would if security went on the intercom to announce there was an active shooter on campus, retard!

Doors opening in is a fire hazard

Not during an active shooting. Also, there has to be a fire wall for a fire door to be available. Or when there is an exit sign.

Says who?

I think you are misunderstood. Doors help prevent the spread of fire and smoke DURING a fire.
So keeping them OPEN or having a device that continues to KEEP them open IS a fire hazard.
So, shoving a few of these from the teacher’s desk DURING an active shooting BUT NOT a fire; would be a fire hazard?

If a large crowd is trying to leave at once, they will push up against the doors and they will be unable to open.

You are talking about exterior doors.
During an active shooting, no one will be pushing up against the interior door of a classroom. Do you mean the windows?
Also, show me anywhere in the IBC where an interior door cannot be swung “inward.”

Each desk should be within individual safe rooms. Like the bubble boy, but bullet proof.
It's the only way.

Or we could just not lose our collective minds over ever kid that’s killed in this country.

Or the FBI could do their job and recognize a threat when they’ve had ample opportunities.

The FBI is busy trying to take down the President bro. Cut them some slack.

My son will have this $10 instrument in his book bag come Monday. Even if he is in the bathroom; it may, give him a few extra seconds to get out of a window and survive.
And in tragic times like these; that may be the only difference.

Doors that open in have killed more people than all the school shooters put together.
Doors on the egress path of a large number of people (and a classroom counts as large) should always be push to open. Humans learned this one through tragedy.
Sorry, but that is not a good idea.

Again. They are speaking of EXTERIOR doors!

Eliminate physical public school campuses. Save hundreds of millions of dollars in every state. Do your coursework online.

Although a complete answer to the problem; the govt MUST have it’s stake in the money/ education game.

You realize the door was closed to one room and the shooter shot through the window to the door right? So how is your piece of rubber going to help then?
There’s also this magical thing on doors already called a “lock”.
