Lol and Trump didn’t come in and change that perception? The main ideas yes. But prison reform, being openly supportive of lesbian and gays (Romney didn’t want Richard Grunnel in his 12 campaign because he was gay), tariffs, actually fighting back against opponents (even within same party), trying to reduce the price of drugs, actually doing something about immigration.

People like Haley are all talk. The momen the kids in cages thing would come up if she was President she would’ve caved in a second.


I think trump has flipped a large enough amount of GOP voters to not vote for a Romney or McCain again in a presidential election. I think they’ll continue to have governors, senators, members of house like the bunch though.

I’ll be completely honest the GOP as far as presidential nominees will be SOL in a few years.

Cruz and pence are way to religious to get enough independents and the rust belt.

Kasich, Nickie, Rubio, Ryan are way to establishment. They are way out of touch with the party.

Graham is way to much of a hawk.

I think if John James can win somewhere and show something he and Dan Crenshaw can be the stars. Jim Jordan as well.

I’m being super realistic though in that the GOP is fricked in 2024. We will see if socialism or religious GOP is what the country will stomach for. Because Cruz or pence is going to be the nominee.

I will most likely vote for them but I can just about guarantee you I won't worship them....I have never voted for a president in a primary....and I have never seen one that was incapable of making a mistake and who hasn't done shite that I didn't approve of....conversely I have voted against a president many times and I can't think of a single one in my 54 years who hasn't done some things I admired and was supportive of....I have been very critical of Obama on these boards...but I voted for him twice and, given the same choices, would do so again...Trump has done some good shite since the Russians elected him (I'm KIDDING...lighten up Francis)....I am a pragmatist, not an ideologue...

It’s one of the reasons why I admit I like trump. He’s basically a mix of a 90s Dem with the same hardline GOP ideas. He also isn’t an ideologue and he calls it how it is.

I see why some people hate him though. But I don’t think anyone can say he’s been a bad president after his tenure is over.

There are very few real men left in our culture.

I think many people on this board support trump so much that they’ve come around to his policies no matter what. They may not know who Tip is but like I said Trump has changed the perception of the GOP.
