Elections have consequences...they matter. Thus winning or losing in political terms means winning or losing elections.
Republicans ain't losing on Obamacare and the wall...they are winning elections on those things so they can win, in the manner you and your partner mean, on things that matter to them...like abortion and tax cuts and appointments of judges. They only pay lip service to things like immigration and healthcare reform...they don't have a clue what to do with these things...that's why they do nothing...and you call someone else simple minded???

I’d compare right in line with Pence. He is very strict in abortion and does come across as someone that would openly say positive things of gay people.
