The National Football League is planning to increase social justice messages and play the Black National Anthem before every game.

If I was a white player, I would kneel during this bullshite.

You cannot honestly argue that this isn’t divisive.

Another season of only college football it is. Oh well

You're fooling yourself if you think this doesn't filter down to the college game. Think BLM , with its BILLIONS of dollars, won't be sponsoring top college athletes, now that NIL deals are legal ?

It wasn't all that long ago I would watch 3 or 4 games a week during the regular season. At least 2, depending on the matchups and television schedule. Hell, I probably watched every playoff game from the late 80s until the mid-2000s. I probably haven't watched 40 full games in 10 years. I haven't watched a minute of half the last 10 Superbowls.

Sad, in a way. Worst part - I don't really miss it.

There is no black national anthem. You are a professional - an educated man, you know how this particular "music" ends, don't you?

Yes, its called "Lift Every Voice and Sing" and its a beautiful song. If you were someone who was a fan of the NFL/watched games...and this causes you to boycott then you are a bit soft around the edges imo.

Has nothing to do with the song dipshit. They live in our country. We have a NATIONAL anthem the represents all American citizens regardless of race, religion or creed. I refuse to support any organization that recognizes a separate anthem that doesn’t represent this country and the citizens that make it up. I dont see Latinos doing this in baseball. I don’t see Asians who live here have a problem standing for our anthem. Why do the blacks want to be recognized separately? Do they not like it here? It’s a big world. I’m sure they can find their Wakanda. But it apparently won’t be here under this flag and anthem.

More of that Asian discrimination we've been hearing so much about.

Imagine a white player taking a knee and when asked replies that he did it to protest all the black violent crime more specific the very disproportionate interracial violent crime statistics in America. What would be the media response to that even with the Statistics and data we have?

I'm familiar with the song and it is a beautiful song. It's not the "black national anthem", though.

No, no, no - you misunderstand me. The product quality kind of dipped. It didn't really start with politics with me, but the whole product kind of dipped. But, I had gone through those periods of ups and downs before - I mean I started watching NFL games almost 50 years ago. I never watched much MLB or hockey. I did watch the NBA during the Lakers-Celtic rivalry in the 1980s and the Jordan era. But, we were college football fans first and the NFL was an extension of that.

No, what did it for me was a combination things - the NFL taking sides. Dallas wanted to honor their slain officers with a uniform device during pre-season. League said no. This was during the time they did nothing to Kap or the other kneelers.

One of them wouldn't have harmed their product or brand in any way. Wouldn't have cost them a single viewer or sponsor. The other things (which they went from tacit acceptance, to quietly blacklisting Kap alone as a sacrificial lamb - with his megamillions from slave owner Nike to jumping in with both feet) have and will continue to cost them, in my humble opinion.

So, when a supposedly capitalist outfit chooses a specific political message despite a hit to the bottom line? I believe that is their principled stance. This move we're discussing here is just more pandering, exclusion and not so subtle passive shot at the "problem" (straight, white Christian males). And I'm moving on. It's like losing a member of the family - the NFL - but, frankly, I don't really miss it all that much.

I can't remember the last time I could watch a sitcom or scrolled the rental movie list on Hulu because every movie sucks and has a political monthed theme.

I wouldn't say a word if they had there black history month crap or LGBTQ crap but it is all garbage and politically infused constantly. where is white history month? can whites not have pride? Guess what..... I wouldn't watch it-either because it is stupid.

Superbowl halftime shows with BLM and their trashy kneeling have me not watching in awhile now.

Hollywood/celebs can DIAF for ruining everything with their politics.
