They started off by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Ten minutes later, they were reading the text of a resolution claiming the existence of “overwhelming evidence” that “pre-planted explosives . . . caused the destruction of the three World Trade Center buildings.”

And so it was, on July 24, 2019 — nearly 18 years after the horrific attacks that traumatized a nation and changed the world forever — the Franklin Square and Munson Fire District, which oversees a volunteer fire department serving a hamlet of 30,000 residents just outside of Queens, New York, became the first legislative body in the country to officially support a new investigation into the events of 9/11.

The resolution, drafted and introduced by Commissioner Christopher Gioia, was unanimously approved by the five commissioners. Members of the audience — including the families of fallen firefighters Thomas J. Hetzel and Robert Evans, both Franklin Square natives — joined in solemn but celebratory applause after the fifth “ay” was spoken.

I have very little knowledge about 911 truthers accept from my brilliant son... he swears that planes did crash as we all saw. But there was also explosives, that the planes impact would not have brought down the towers.

I am open minded. I always wondered if the planes themselves had bombs on board in explanation?

Planes hit the towers.

But

That other building that fell perfectly onto itself, was not a natural collapse. Something went on with that one.

The stages of grief calls for anger. Maybe this is 18 years of built up anger?

Why would the fire commissioners do this if they didn't at least have some evidence?

I would just like to go on record here on Page 1, that I do think passenger planes could actually take buildings down

The impact didn’t.

The fires did.

My only issue with these "truthers" is if they were willing to take flying lessons to learn to fly, hijack planes, then commit suicide by flying into the buildings; isn't it logical that they would also be willing to plant some sort of explosive devices for maximum effect and a fail safe plan?
