Kind of like how Jesus Christ told His disciples how wrong it was for Herod to imprison St. John the Baptist or anyone else for that matter? No…He never did as His Kingdom is not of this world.

Jesus submitted to the authorities when they put him on the cross.
Paul and Silas were unjustly imprisoned and yet even when the walls crumbled down they submitted to the authorities and stayed.

I’ve been vocally Catholic since the day I registered here. I am probably one of the few posters here who actually goes to confession and attends weekly mass. Stop trying to make every single thing into owning the libs. Jesus is the most radical liberal to ever walk the earth.

Progressives mock Christianity as do Marxist. Muslims as well. And there are tons of Catholics who realize that the policies which are serving these three ideological adversaries are endangering their families. He’ll be running into a strong wind and like the Supreme Court may well lose credibility in the eyes of former supporters and take the Institution down with him. Albeit he has to side with the poor. Not a Catholic so so I don’t have a dog in the hunt.
