To be fair, the guy made a pretty idiotic statement. It's really easy to transfer a balance from one credit card to another when opening a new account, and you can often get a pretty great introductory rate for balance transfers. Closing a credit card account doesn't at all mean they were keeping a $0 balance.
That being said, people who pay their balance off every month make a LOT of money for credit card companies. Every vendor who accepts that card is paying a fee for that card's use. There's literally no way to think about credit card transactions and come to the conclusion that people who maintain a $0 balance are a nuisance to credit card companies. You'd have to be an idiot to come to that conclusion.

Already cancelled my subscription. Was annoyed with constant price increases already so this was an easy call.

Up 133% since Trump took office. Still above February's lows. Operating income up well over 100% YOY comparing 2017 to 2016. EBIT up over 75% in same period...
Sounds like they are in really deep crap
The Susan Rice deal won't phase buyers one bit. People that are successful in the market check politics at the door. Netflix is a company in good financial shape that provides a popular service.
FB and GOOG however might be in deep crap. If the Feds sink their teeth on them on how they use data, FB and GOOG become nothing more than a platform for selling add space.

True they check their own politics at the door, but they don't ignore a potential negative effect resulting from the political beliefs of others, eg, customers, investors.
I'm not saying the Rice issue will or won't hurt it, but you're saying definitively that it won't and your reasoning is faulty.

My reasoning is that the above two won't happen, so no, it isn't faulty. If this current move down drops below the Feb low or if a quarterly release reports drops in subscriptions than I'll change my tune.

I bought into Netflix at around $130/share, so I'm not too worried.

Does bribing city councils to declare areas "blighted" for eminent domain purposes count as a loophole?

Nonresponsive. Did you even comprehend my post?

Yes, I comprehend your post just fine. I just don't agree with it at this time.
The most important part of your post is in bold:

At the moment, there is no market reaction that can be tied to the Rice issue.

It's faulty because no one knows if it will or won't. You're speculating.
And I already pointed out how your earlier statement was incorrect. Politics has as much of an effect on the market as anything else. True, a smart investor won't base his investment decisions on his own politics, but he will evaluate the effect that politics has on others that may in turn effect the company. This is basic shite that you seem hung up on.

Well that's not even true. There's some market reaction that can be tied to the Rice issue, just not much.
You've got to stop speaking in absolutes if you want to sound intelligent.

I dropped my account beginning of Jan, 18...maybe I initiated it? Dammed leftist; no more Netflix, Amazon, ... Pretty soon, I'm gonna have an antenna wire sticking out the top of my TV!
Old man and out!
