I’m not anti-war. I’m anti-not calling war barbaric. Bombing women and children is barbaric. It was barbaric when we did it in Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right thing to do. But it’s not exciting to me. Likewise, we could have put more boots on the ground in Helmand at the start of the war when most of Afghanistan was sympathetic to the north alliance and instead we bombed the shite of a bunch of dirt farmers for three years and never covered control of the country. Israel doing an occupation to kill all of Hamas is one thing, Israel bombing an open air prison is just murder.

I believe when you drop bombs for weeks on densely populated areas that are over 50% children, it doesn’t matter. They could have given a longer window for the evacuation. They didn’t. They could have put boots in the ground. They haven’t.
