Hence why I said Rand Paul. Ted Cruz has a similar problem to Hillary in that he is entirely loathsome, although I think Ted would have also beaten her. The election was a referendum on Hillary Clinton and not the approval of Donald Trump.

Whenever Rand does something that pisses me off I remember he's Ron's blood and quickly get over it. I hope he eventually can make as much noise as Dr. Paul did in primaries. Would love a libertarian to break the broken two-party system.

If Rand Paul were to ever win the Republican nomination, I have no doubt that there would be an assassination attempt on him. His desire for a sane, non-interventionist foreign policy and an end to domestic mass surevillance would cost too many people far too much money. The neocon wing of the Republican Party and the warmongering Clinton faction of the Democratic Party would all want him eliminated.

That he is unelectable says far more about the American voting public than Rand. People will choose bread and circus over individual liberty every time.

Not ready, he can't be elected but Senate needs to abort 60 vote rule like Dems did with Obamacare......

Then we need to call our state repres and insist on an Article 5 state rights constitutional convention (2/3 states must approve) so the states can pass a balanced budget amendment just like most states have and let the Deep State fight it out with conservatives until budget is balanced every year
