Maybe y'all can help prove or dispel this rumor about the Chicago Mayor being hospitalized for so-called panic attacks as I am unfamiliar with the original Twitter user and the chicagocitywire link that is linked in the tweet

Those are the only places I have seen this info so far & I am unfamiliar with either of them

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is “stressed out” and has been admitted to the hospital for panic attacks. That’s according to veteran Chicago journalists John Kass and Anita Padilla, who discussed Johnson’s panic attacks on an episode of WGN-AM’s Chicago Way Podcast.

“The mayor’s panic attacks? Can we talk about that?” Kass said. “No amount of anti-depressants can cure him of (Chicago’s illegal alien) problem.”

Padilla said Johnson has sought out professional medical help for stress.

“Two sources told me that he has been in the hospital for these panic attacks. He is stressed out,” Padilla said. “This is a big, big job for him. He’s not ready for it. He’s not a leader. I’m sorry. This immigration issue is not helping him at all."

A native of Waukegan, Padilla worked for NBC 5 (1997-2007) and Fox 32 (2007-2023). In Dec. 2023, she resigned to take a position with Florida Voice News.

The Chicago Way Podcast is hosted by former Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass and WGN Radio’s Jeff Carlin. It is produced by WGN Radio.

Brandon Johnson was elected to be the mayor of Chicago in 2023. He replaced former mayor Lori Lightfoot.

Wow. Is the pressure too much for @ChicagosMayor ?

First @John_Kass reports he is having panic attacks (same info given to me by two reliable separate sources) and now his team thinks it's okay for his team to physically shove reporters like @IanKullgren who are assigned to cover City Hall?

Did he forget that reporters keep the public informed--the same public that voted for him?
