Wow, I googled defense of free speach hoping to bring up some Thomas Paine stuff. Holy shite it's scary what Google brought up, almost all anti-free speach.

She is not from this country. And has only been here about 5 years.
I went on to say (paraphrasing) that I don't care if you lean left, but if you don't think people can't talk freely, you're not American (which she isn't) and don't understand literally the first principal that this country was founded upon.

The United States is the only country in the world with a true free speech amendment. The closest is Great Britain whom has a “unless it” clause.

She’s a lost cause if she already went to that mindset. It’s a slippery slope because they can now decide that ANYTHING is harmful speech if they don’t agree with it.

Yea guys, starting to think there is no hope for us.
I went on to take the advice of the board. Anyone who decides what is harmful (and cannot be said) or what is okay to say would be playing God, and I compared it to the media at this time.
Im afraid a lot of people with no job, no saving, no future, and false promises from the dems might feel the same as she does.
I'm a republican, my white privilege was that my parents stayed together and planned for my future. I learned the value of hard work and saving from them, and although I don't make a lot of money, I could live for approximately 1 year with no further income (and no help from my parents or the government). I am proud of that.
Far too many people will vote for a candidate based on 1 or 2 issues alone, and I'm afraid that many will not vote for the greater good.

This statement is so wrong and authoritarian in nature that it boggles the mind you would date a girl who believes this. There is no reasoning with anyone who believes speech that she herself deems harmful should be banned. Not only is it unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination, it would lead to the banning of speech she herself supports in various parts of the country. Dump this girl and run as fast as you can.
