I remember SNL did a sketch in the early 90's where they had Adam Sandler play Chelsea Clinton. There was another sketch where they had Chris Farley pretending to be Giuliani's kid. Nobody got offended. (Maybe they did and I was too young to notice) IMO, SNL had a lot more goodwill back then and people didn't assume they were in the tank for one side.
Of course this is different and I'm glad she got suspended because this was much more mean spirited. I just hope this isn't some token suspension. Why people think it's cool to tweet stuff like that is beyond me. You have a career and a great job. Why risk it over a stupid joke?

Remember when weekend update was just them making fun of odd news stories? Now it's explicitly making fun of conservatives. It's old, stale, and other than Keenan, devoid of anyone who's funny. I went from fast forwarding through weekend circle J, to not watching at all. Which is sad.
