it came from high levels of the Justice Dept. rather than directly from FBI Director Wray.

Escort Wray out of the building next.

Hopefully this does not preclude later prosecution.

To answer your question. We will all go to jail or be audited so bigly we are afraid to live. I will probably delete the first part to protect my privacy.

Effective June 30? Looks like the old boy can do a month's worth of housecleaning before he hangs it up.

It is probably his retirement date. If he didn't have a girl name maybe he would get a gofundme?

Maybe we should demand that the FBI stop paying salaries to lawyers to represent them. Make them hire public defenders if they ever need legal representation. After all, they do the same to us (those who cannot afford to hire an attorney) on a daily basis. It's our goddamn money that pays their salaries anyways. Taxation without representation. There was a time when we would go to war over the shite they're pulling.

Dana Boente, who has a 38-year career with the Justice Department, agreed to resign under pressure from the Justice Department, according to NBC News.

"Few people have served so well in so many critical, high-level roles at the Department," FBI Director Christopher Wray said in a statement. "Throughout his long and distinguished career as a public servant, Dana has demonstrated a selfless determination to ensure that justice is always served on behalf of our citizens."

"While it will be difficult to replace Dana, I am committed to ensuring that the next general counsel is experienced, objective, and prepared to lead the men and women who make up this vital part of the FBI’s mission," Wray added.
Wray needs to be shown the door!

The top lawyer at the FBI submitted his resignation after facing criticism on the Right for his role in the investigation into former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.

His statement made no mention of pressure from the Justice Department.

The FBI told the Washington Examiner on Saturday that Boente announced his decision to retire from federal service, effective June 30, within roughly the past 24 hours.

Boente, who had also been the acting assistant attorney general of the National Security Division and the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, has come under fire by critics for his handling of the case against retired Lt. Gen. Flynn.

Wray backs this guy over what they did to Flynn and Trump. He is retiring after 38 years. They are way above the law

This is a good step, a big one. By forcing him to retire, I assume they got all they needed from him first.

I certainly hope many of these people are held accountable. The number of people involved in the coup, career employees, who have been fired or resigned is shocking at this point. Id like to see the list, it must be over two dozen of the top four levels of the DOJ and FBI with a smattering of CIA and NSC and IGs. This has never happened in the history of our country.
